The short version
Use these context-hint examples as starting points, not ready-made claims. Replace bracketed details with facts your business can verify. OpenAI says hints add specific, relevant and accurate context about an offer; they do not guarantee ad delivery or work as targeting instructions. Read the context-hints guide for the underlying rules.
How to use the examples
Each set includes an ad-group focus, a few possible hints, a headline direction and a truth-check. A hint can describe what you offer, who it helps, or when it may be useful; it does not need to include every angle. Keep related ads together, and split use cases when the service, message or landing page changes materially.
Only use a location you serve. Do not add an unverified price, delivery time, warranty, certification or feature. Headline ideas are prompts; review current Ads Manager limits and ad policies before launch.

Rewrite a generic draft
Start with “solar panels Pakistan.” Replace it with a truthful detail and a use case: “Home solar installation consultations for households comparing system sizes in [city served].” The rewrite is more informative, but it still does not instruct Ads Manager to show the ad only in that city. Use supported campaign location settings for geographic eligibility.
- Does the hint add useful context beyond a generic category?
- Is it specific and relevant to the shared offer in this ad group?
- Can the business prove every factual claim today?
- Does another customer need require a separate message or landing page?
Hints apply at ad-group level. Do not reuse one set across unrelated products just to save setup time. In a bulk edit, the uploaded hint list replaces the previous value; export the current set first. See the bulk-upload guide and Ads Manager guide.
Quick answers
Should I copy these examples exactly?
No. Replace placeholders and rewrite every line around your real offer, location, service and customer need.
How many hints should I use?
OpenAI does not prescribe a fixed count in its current writing guidance. Use distinct, accurate details without repeating the same idea.
Can a hint target a city or exclude an audience?
No. Hints cannot enforce locations, schedules or exclusions. Use supported campaign controls.
Should each example be in a separate ad group?
Only if it represents a distinct offer, customer need, message or landing page. Keep variations for the same use case together.
Do the headline ideas meet current limits?
They are starting points, not approved ads. Check character limits, creative requirements and policy review in Ads Manager.
